Our Fit 4 Mums exercise sessions are fun and friendly!

Pregnant mums who do not normally exercise are particularly welcome. Fit 4 Mums-to-be is really helpful if you are feeling anxious, suffering with back pain or are overweight.

So even if you have never exercised before… come along and give it a go! You might surprise yourself!

The sessions are free but we ask you to make a voluntary donation to help cover the costs.

The sessions are run by a fully qualified and experienced YMCA personal trainer who specialises in prenatal and postnatal exercise.

Please note: Our exercise sessions are for mums that live in Basildon, Billericay, Wickford, Canvey Island and Thurrock only - This is due to funding restrictions.

When to join

Come along any time during your pregnancy (just check first with your midwife that you are fit to attend the sessions).

What happens during the sessions?

Each session includes a one hour exercise routine, pelvic floor, stretching, some relaxation, light refreshments and a chance to chat to other mums-to-be. There are also opportunities to ask questions about how to keep healthy and preparing to be a mum.
