Evidence is overwhelming that volunteering and peer support can make a unique and valuable contribution to the well-being of parents and babies. So why are so many amazing initiatives struggling to survive? Our mission at Parents 1st UK is to enable perinatal volunteering to flourish despite the challenges we face. This conference will not only celebrate examples of what is being achieved across the UK but will also launch a brand-new website full of knowledge, ideas and hundreds of resources - for free! We need to share, connect and find new solutions together. This conference will be suitable for… Anyone involved or interested in planning, delivering or funding a perinatal volunteer initiative including: Midwives developing Community Hubs; Maternity Voices Volunteers; Social Prescribing Networks; Health Visitors; Social Workers; Early Years Practitioners; Family Support Workers; Voluntary & Community Organisations; Commissioners; Policy Makers; Parents and Volunteers. Prices Those delivering perinatal volunteering initiatives: £25 (Please note: these tickets are limited to 2 tickets per programme) Voluntary sector: £75 Private/Statutory sector: £95 Book Now Travel By Train: the NCVO Offices are conveniently located just eight minutes’ walk from King's Cross, St Pancras and Eurostar stations. By bus: 17, 91 and 259 bus routes buses pass by NCVO. The 390 bus route passes down York Way, a short walk from NCVO. By car: There is some on-street parking available or Judd Street Car Park is approximately 15 minutes' walk. Blue Badge holders can book car parking spaces in advance directly with NCVO. Refunds If you need to cancel your place, please do so by emailing [email protected] as soon as possible. If you are not able to attend the event, a substitute can be sent in your place at no extra charge. Please note that you are still liable for the full cost of the event if you do not attend on the day. In the event of sickness or an accident, a full refund will be given although we may ask for proof from your doctor/hospital. Coronavirus: If you fall ill or suspect you may have been in contact with anyone who has been diagnosed with the illness and need to self-isolate please contact us immediately and a full refund will be given straight away. Please note: We plan to follow advice from the Government/Public Health Officials so will postpone this event if there are real concerns over public safety. If we do need to postpone, we will issue refunds to any delegates who are unable to make the new date. If you would like to request a refund for other reasons, the following notice is required: Cancellations made 11 days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 100% refund. Cancellations made within 4 - 10 days will incur a 50% fee. Cancellations made less than 3 days in advance of the event will not be eligible for refunds. Transferring your ticket If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your ticket at no additional cost providing advance notice is given via email. We will accept transfers up till 24hrs before the event date. We will do our best to accommodate the dietary and access requirements of the new delegate but please note it may not be possible if less than 7 days’ notice is given. Cancellations or rescheduled events Parents 1st will only cancel events if absolutely necessary, but we reserve the right to cancel, postpone and/or substitute speakers at any time and for any reason. If an event is cancelled by us, delegates will be notified via email and a full refund will be automatically processed within 7-10 working days. If an event is postponed, all delegate tickets will automatically be transferred to the new date and places reserved. Delegates will be notified via email and if unable to attend the new date, a full refund can be requested up to 7 working days after notification. Requests after this time period will be reviewed on an individual basis but we reserve the right to refuse. Please note: Parents 1st will not be held liable for any accommodation or associated travel costs should an event be cancelled or rescheduled.
